2025-26 Panini Donruss Road to FIFA World Cup is Panini’s pre-tournament flagship for the expanded 2026 World Cup, the first edition staged across the USA, Canada and Mexico with the field growing from 32 to 48 nations. It blends the classic Donruss design language — Rated Rookies, Optic chrome and the beloved Kaboom! chase — with a global roster of stars and emerging talent. Base Set

The base set spans 200 cards covering top talent from the national teams in contention for 2026, plus a dedicated 50-card Rated Rookies subset spotlighting the next generation.

Collector’s note: this is a “Road to” release, so the checklist was locked before World Cup qualification fully concluded — the final 48-team field was not confirmed until spring 2026. As a result the set features roughly 30 nations that were still in contention at press time, meaning some teams and players who ultimately missed out may still appear, while a few later qualifiers are absent. That mix is part of the appeal of a pre-tournament set.

Box Formats

The release comes in several configurations: Hobby, Hobby International, Blaster and Fat Pack, giving both dedicated case-breakers and casual collectors an entry point.

Hobby Box Breakdown

A Hobby box holds 12 packs with 30 cards per pack. On average each box delivers 1 autograph and 1 memorabilia (relic) card, alongside roughly 6 numbered parallels, 12 Optic Holos and 48 inserts and insert parallels.

Parallels

Base cards climb a deep colour ladder, from unnumbered tiers up through numbered parallels such as Teal, Orange, Red, Blue, Purple, Gold /10, Green /5 and the one-of-one Black.

The Optic (Optichrome) versions run their own chrome ladder led by Holo, then numbered Red, Orange, Blue, Teal Mojo, Purple Mojo, Gold /10 and Green /5, topping out with 1/1s including Black, Black Pandora and Gold Vinyl.

Inserts

The headline chase is the SSP Kaboom!, back with Gold /10 and Black 1/1 parallels. It is joined by a strong insert line-up: Dominators, Zero Gravity, Animation, Craftsmen, Elite Series, Magicians, Net Marvels, Night Moves, Pitch Kings and Rookie Kings.

Autographs & Memorabilia

On-card and sticker signatures come from Signature Series, Beautiful Game Autographs and Beautiful Game Dual Autographs. Memorabilia is anchored by Kit Kings — a nod to the long-running Kings design tradition — and Kit Series, both offering numbered parallels up to a 1/1 Black.
